True story. I’m 29 years old, but I still feel like I’m 24. It’s weird to think I’m now the same age as they were during the early seasons Friends.

I often forget how ancient I am. And since the children of my peers are now grown adults, and share the interests of their parents, and therefore my interestes, I think of them as peers. And so I mentally de-age myself unconsciously.
So, I have to try to focus on remember how ancient I am. Which gets harder, because of that whole memory thing and … what are we talking about? Is Matlock on tonight?
lol you’re not ancient. There’s nothing wrong with treating the children of your friends as peers. It means you respect them as adults.
Ha! I do the same thing. I have to judge time by the age of my children in order to get it right. Otherwise, it will always be “just a few years ago”.
haha while we were watching The World’s End tonight, Jay turned to me and went, “Holy crap, 1990 was 23 years ago?! When did that happen?”
I actually thought of this post of yours while watching TWE Saturday night. That movie kind of hit home.
