Autocomplete Map of Each State

Written By: Colleen - Jan• 27•14

I love these map posts that go around the Internet.  I don’t know the accuracy of any of them, but they’re fun to look at and speculate about.  This one takes the Google autocomplete results when you ask why a certain state is so…?  I did test it out and type out, “Why is North Carolina so ” and “cheap” was the first autocomplete result, lol, so maybe this map is onto something.

What does autocomplete say about your state?  Is it accurate?  Isn’t there a better one we can come up with for Florida?

Yeah, I had to test it out too when I saw this. I agree with it because Oregon is good :)

I love this! Why is Ohio so…. Important! Yes, it is. The presidential candidate who wins Ohio, always wins the White House. :) Seven U.S. presidents were born here giving us the nickname “Mother of Presidents”. Astronauts John Glenn and Neil Armstrong called Ohio home. Orville Wright was born in Ohio, and they spent their childhood in Dayton. Yes I like this map. I think Ohio is pretty important! :)

I figured it had something to do with the electorial votes lol but when you list everything else, I guess Ohio is more important than people give it credit for…

Tried to write a comment, and somehow it got lost. So, I was happy with this map above because for Ohio it’s “why is ohio so… Important” Love that! Probably because in almost all of the US elections, the presidential candidate that wins Ohio goes on to win the White house. Ohio has voted the eventually winner. Seven US presidents were born in Ohio. Astronauts John Glenn and Neil Armstrong were born in Ohio. Orville Wright was born in Ohio and the Wright brothers grew up in Dayton, Ohio.
