Since my summer reading (now finishing up with The Girl Who Played with Fire) has taken up a lot of my blogging/working out/cleaning time, I did some catch up on all three tonight. I noticed that one of the higher search terms that brought people to my blog on July 11, 2011 was “Colleen Cute.” Obviously, I had to Google that term myself (with and without quotations) to see what the hell search results showed up.
I was not amused! Yes, my blog for some strange reason shows up at the very top, but the results itself are hatin’ on my name! Granted, I don’t think I’d name myself Colleen if I were in charge of my name but that doesn’t give anyone else the right to trash talk it. Observe one particular result:
First of all, Colleen Barbara and Colleen Shirley sound effing STUPID. So do all the other names you listed, bitch. Just saying. That said, Celeste is a really pretty name but all of those suggestions are also stupid.
I digress. There are more posts spewin’ the Colleen hate on that page, btw. Whatevs. I can’t really complain because it’s all a matter of opinion but I do find it amusing that so many people don’t like my name. Oh well. C’est la vie, right?
