On our last full day at Walt Disney World, we hit up Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom for a second time.
In the morning on Saturday, May 19, Jay, Heather, Steven, and I went to Animal Kingdom. We walked around the park, saw the Tree of Life, and rode on the Expedition Everest roller coaster (awesome!) and the Dinosaur ride. We weren’t at Animal Kingdom for very long, but I had a great time there. That roller coaster ROCKS. If you like roller coasters, you have to check it out. It’s on par with the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster and Space Mountain.
The Animal Kingdom!
Waiting in line for Expedition Everest.
When we got back to the resort, we hit up Earl of Sandwich again at Downtown Disney (got the turkey/bacon sandwich this time), then later that afternoon, paid one final visit to The Magic Kingdom. We went on some rides we hadn’t had a chance to go on earlier in the week, like the Astro Orbiter, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Stitch’s Great Escape, the Tomorrowland Speedway, and the Snow White ride. We also re-rode some favorites, like Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Jungle Cruise, and the Haunted Mansion. As far as non-rides go, we watched the Wishes! fireworks show (lots of pictures below from it) and part of the eternal Main Street Electrical Parade. I’m really glad we got the opportunity to go back to the Magic Kingdom for a second time.
We left Florida on Sunday, June 20, and it was home sweet home, back to a pissed off cat, haha. It was a wonderful trip and I am SO thankful that I was given the opportunity to go on it. Jay & I want to do a 4-day weekend trip to Universal Studios sometime within the next year since Jay has never been and I want him to experience the Wizard World of Harry Potter. Hopefully, we will have the chance to do that and more!
