Thanks to Spotify, I just discovered that ANNA NALICK HAS A NEW ALBUM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I seriously thought that Anna had given up singing in favor of just songwriting. I f*cking LOVE her debut album, “Wreck of the Day.” She’s so much more than the “2am Girl.” I happen to think that she’s a brilliant songwriter and if you’re an Anna Nalick fan OR a long long long long long time reader of my blog (aka NONE of you haha), you’ll recognize that many of her lyrics have been titles of some of my posts. Actually, Jay and I have discussed how he’s drawn to brilliant guitar playing/instrumental music while I have always held lyrics to the highest standard. It’s why I love Fiona Apple so much. All about the lyrics. So’s Ani and Tori and Alanis. Anyways, Anna Nalick’s first album and her “Shine EP” have been a great influence & comfort to me throughout the years. If you ever read my blog [in 2006 & 2010 (?)] you’d have picked up my Anna love because I love using her lyrics as my titles.
So the damn point of this post is to share that ANNA HAS A NEW ALBUM!!! AAAHHHHHHHHHHH. I’m so excited and it’s downloading as I type! YAY!! Give her first album and the EP a listen. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. The album and acoustic versions of each song are just brilliant.
