An L-B-B-P Filled Weekend

Lululemon.  Barbeque.  Blogging.  Podcasting.  That pretty much sums up my weekend.

Jay, Clif, & I saw “Prometheus” on Friday night.  I actually liked it a lot.  I recognize it had its issues, but I really liked it.  On Saturday morning, I took a class at Pure Barre.  I really enjoy the Pure Barre workout, but it’s so expensive that I can’t do it all the time.  I only buy class packages when they’re on sale.  I need to get some of the DVDs so I can do the workouts at home, but I never get as much from home workouts as I do when I take a class.  Too many distractions at home.

Anyway, after the class, I decided to take a leap and finally purchase some fancy new workout shirts from lululemon.  For those of you who don’t know, lululemon is a boutique clothing store dedicated mainly to workout clothes – running, yoga, etc.  They’re also really expensive, but many almost every female I know who shops there, loves their clothing and become completely addicted to them.  I see the appeal.  They have a nice fit and don’t get all sweaty.  I already can’t wait to go back, even though the money conscious girl in me knows this ain’t happenin’ for several months lol.  Well…maybe I’ll check the final sale rack 😉

After I left lululemon, I took a mad quick shower and re-watched the season 4 finale of Fringe so I could continue the second big part of my weekend: podcasting.  As previously posted, we released MetroBuzz Episode 108 on Saturday morning.  On Saturday afternoon, I recorded a Fringe Podcast with Jack that went up on the Jay and Jack TV PLUS feed.  I hope that no one minds, but I will most likely be replacing Jay has the co-host of that podcast for the final 13 Fringe episodes since he is very busy nowadays and the quality of the show suffered a little bit.  I’m really excited to be doing it.

Post podcasting, it was time for a Glatfelter family BBQ.  I do love me some BBQ, though I don’t like BBQ flavored things.  Go figure.  We played a little bit of cornhole and some other game that I don’t know of the name of but it looked like a lite version of something you’d see in an immunity challenge on Survivor.  I’m terrible at any game that requires aim (with the exception of beer pong; I’m decent at that), so I did horribly.  I managed to fare sorta not-terribly during some rounds of cornhole, like in the picture to the right where I am doing a happy dance because in one round of one game, I actually got a bullseye and beat Jay in points.  It’s the little things in life.

Finally, the blogging portion of my weekend.  I’ve been blog silent lately because we were in the process of changing hosting for my site and I didn’t want to post too much that I’d lose it once everything was finalized.  I had to re-input some pictures from the last month, but all in all, the transition was smooth.  I’ve been furiously trying to catch up on posts from my May Photo-a-day round up to Disney World!  Whew.  I’ve felt productive, at least.

Hope everyone else had a nice weekend!
