Well, we did it! The wedding went off without a hitch. Jay even said “I do” too early because we were so excited hehe. This is a short post because I’m exhausted and we’re getting up at 5:30am to make sure we get to JFK with plenty of time to go to Mexico. I may blog from the resort if we have down time – NOT BECAUSE I’M CRAZY, but because blogging really relaxes me and it’s something that I love doing and on vacation, I’m going to do every single thing that I love to do! Sorry, but I know if I do it, I’m going to get 80 million comments from people saying, “Go enjoy your honeymoon!” but trust me, I’m going to be doing everything I enjoy, whether it’s sun, reading, drinking, or blogging! Plus, I want to make sure I document every part of the wedding so I always have it in writing and never forget any of it! 😀
I collected some internet videos and pictures that people took and I’ll share them with you guys now. Thank you all SO MUCH from all of the fantastic messages and well wishes that have been sent our way this week. I can’t tell you how blessed I feel right now. xoxoxo to all of you!
That said, let’s get down to business.
First, here’s a picture my friend Amanda Pookie took of my dress. I wore a Maggie Sottero dress called “Harlow.” Funny story – when my mom & I went to the florist on Wednesday, another bride came in. She was very pregnant and told us that she was due the next day (April 28) for a C-section and was having a baby girl who she was naming Harlow. Love that name, love my dress. Had to be a good sign!
Next up, is a video that Boston took of me and my dad walking down the aisle 🙂 I was so excited!
Here’s a picture my old roommate from Astoria, Amanda (she used to do the Rooftop Sessions with me & John) took of Jay and I taking our vows:
Boston got another great video of Jay and I walking down the aisle after mass was over:
Another video by Boston of us walking into the reception hall after being presented for the first time as “Mr. and Mrs. Jay Glatfelter!”
Then it was time for a lot of dancing!
Here’s a great picture that our friend Frak put on Instagram:
We tried to eat but there really just wasn’t a lot of time to eat more than the salad that came before the meal and to try a few bites of our meal. IT WAS DELICIOUS. If you live on Long Island and want to have a wedding at a great venue with outstanding food, then I strongly recommend going to Giorgio’s at Fox Hill. It’s amazing.
Here’s some pictures of us having some fun, eating some cake. At the end is a video that Clif made for us. It’s so sweet. We are so lucky to have such wonderful, creative, amazing friends. More pictures and videos to come, including the video of the speeches given by my sisters (Maids of Honor) and Clif & Ryan (Best Men). Rob taped the ceremony for us so hopefully by the end of May, I’ll have that posted too if anyone is interested!
Cake topper wasn’t too heavy for the cake after all!!
